Our release „Tarpenbek“ formed an exception in the vast Asmus Tietchens discography as it was the rare case where Tietchens created music to images, namely the etchings of Rolf Zander. As an extension of the project Hamburg based visual Artist Jan Schaab has now created ultra-minimal prints inspired by the Tietchens Tarpenbek-tracks. The images of Schaab then served as an inspiration for new pieces by Richard Chartier and Gregory Büttner. „Tarpenbek Kontinuum“ will be released by the Material Verlag in the combination of a book/art print series plus vinyl record.
