The aufabwegen box set release „Tarpenbek“ by Asmus Tietchens and visual artist Rolf Zander spawned a related publication. In reversion the original process – where Asmus Tietchens sought to interpret etchings by Rolf Zander – Hamburg based artist Jan Schaab has created 12 images that were inspired by the 12 Tietchens tracks of the original Tarpenbek release. Jan Schaab then invited sound artists Gregory Büttner and Richard Chartier to interpret his 12 ultra minimal images in sound works. The result is a white vinyl LP record and 12 high quality prints housed in a PVC gatefold sleeve.
