To commemorate Asmus Tietchens‘ 70th birthday (on February 3rd) German national radio WDR 3 will broadcast a massive 2 hour programme celebrating the work of the Hamburg based sound artist. The programme will run on 11th February 2017, starting at 22.04h German time and can be streamed. The programme will include broadcasts of both works Tietchens was awarded the prestigious Karl Sczuka prize for, namely Sechs Heidelberger Studien and Trois Dryades. Other pieces will be featured too, as well as the full concert in a duo of Asmus Tietchens & Dieter Moebius that took place at our very own Geräuschwelten festival in Münster in 2013.
